Meaning the Old Gods in Givosion, the Goa'uld are seen as demons from the stand point of the Archons. To many Givosions this follows and they believe the Goa'uld were a race of superior beings that only the Archons could defeat, when in truth the Goa'uld were a parasite that latched itself to a host and controlled it. They had legions of soldiers, comprised of many races including Givosion and this made them an enemy of the Archons, and so they were defeated and locked away, but not forever. Many Givosions still pray to the Old Gods
Anubis
Anubis in host form
"You do not understand how bad Anubis is. He was banished by the System Lords because his crimes were unspeakable. Even to the Goa'uld."
Long ago, Anubis (Anuge) first arose as a warlord in the service of Apep. His victories earned the praise and respect of Apep, but earned the jealousy of his fellow underlords. However, Anubis' ambition was even greater. Exposing Apep to the unstable effects of the Ancient healing device, Anubis learned of valuable Ancient weapons: the Eyes of the Goa'uld, six jewels used to power a planet destroying weapon. Eventually, he felt his position was so secure that he murdered Apep, removing the symbiote from his host and devouring Apep before the others, and declared himself Emperor of the Goa'uld.
Anubis, however, had seriously underestimated the followers of Apep and the power of the rival underlords. Ra was able to rally the others in Apep's name, and in a three hundred year civil war, defeated Anubis. Ra emerged as the new ruler of the Goa'uld Empire, and Anubis was banished. Thousands of years later, Anubis reemerged, and offered to destroy the Alterrans in return for the leadership of the System Lords. A furious Ra waged another war against him, but Anubis was able to survive.
Anubis is the God of Evil, Plagues, and Treachery. Those seen wearing his seal are outcasts, having it branded on them because they are criminals of the highest nature, or members of a cult in his "Honor".

Apophis
In the aftermath following the banishment of Anubis, Apophis' (Aphto) power significantly increased, along with the knowledge of his existence.
Because of the problems the Ancient Alterrans were causing the Goa'uld, Apophis, with his son Klorel, took two Ha'taks in a campaign to conquer them. Talons, however, had already arrived on a Stargate being carried in Klorel's mothership, and managed to rig the vessel to explode and incapacitate Klorel. Bra'tac, Apophis' former First Prime, also helped the Talons, by directing Klorel's mothership to move closer to Apophis', and damaging the Pel'tac's controls. Unable to save his ship, Apophis and Klorel ringed over to Klorel's mothership and used the Stargate to escape. But the damage to Apophis was incalculable.
Because of the loss of two motherships and most of his Serpent Guards, Apophis' standing among the System Lords was considerably weakened.

Bastest
Bastet (Bate) did not come to power until the Second Goa'uld Dynasty collapsed. She united her forces with the System Lord Kali and the two made a treaty with the Goa'uld Sobek. Then, at the celebratory feast, they moved against him. Rumor has it that Sobek's head still decorates Bastet's palace in Bubastis.
Bastet, admitting to suffering heavy losses against Anubis, voted to allow the powerful Goa'uld back to his former position as a System Lord.
She is the God of Love and other desires.

Ba'al
First seen during the Second Goa'uld Dynasty, Ba'al (Bal) was originally one of Apep's prominent underlords in service to him where he was thought to be the son of El—who was, in actuality, Ra. It was in this role that he oversaw many cultures' development of an agricultural system. Ba'al's influence spread throughout these cultures so much that he was known over entire planets.
He was rarely seen to be a kind overseer, however, and indeed whenever his people failed to meet his strict food production quotas he very often issued orders for the mass sacrifice of lives. Though these measures led to overall prosperity for both the Goa'uld and the people, it came at the expense of many people and so it perhaps came as no surprise that Ba'al was one of the first Goa'uld to encounter rebellion among his people, though it was to a much smaller scale than Ra's later comeuppance. A few smaller villages abandoned worshiping him and so, for their pride, Ba'al struck them down—it was these sort of actions that would later lead to his association with several religious figures, several identifying him as Ba'alzebub and believing him to serve Satan rather than Ra, though his loyalty remained true.
It was during the time that the Goa'uld ruled that he was sent to Kinahhi—under the name Re'ammin the Thunderer—to kill its ruler, King Yahm, when he fell from the favor of the Goa'uld. He cast Yahm's body into the oceans on the planet and erected a floating city, Tsapan, on the site of his death; this marked the beginning of the Kinahhi people's enslavement to the Goa'uld. However, the people of the planet eventually rose up against Re'ammin, using his own technology against him, and forcing him to flee the planet. Sometime after this, while the Goa'uld still ruled, Ba'al was temporarily killed by Mot then resurrected through a sarcophagus by his 'sister'
He is the one credited with defeating Ra and driving him from power.
He is the God of Vengeance and Corruption; and interestingly politics.

Hathor
Once a Goa'uld with her own empire, Hathor (Haor) originally ruled from her place of power on Ta-Netjer. The local population, the Netjerians, were anthropomorphic beings who worshiped Hathor as a god with even more devotion than that seen in other races. She eventually entered into an alliance with Ra, becoming his queen and, not wanting his queen to have her own base of power, Ra forced her to leave Ta-Netjer for good to join him, though the Netjerians did not take her absence lightly, committing mass suicide and performing rituals to bring her back through the Stargate. It was because of this alliance that Hathor lost much of her independence and freedom of movement, both of which she valued dearly, which led to her secretly loathing Ra.
Hathor was known to control both her enemies and friends through use of the pleasure principle—as well as nish'ta—which meant that she gave people what they wanted, within reason, so that they would follow her anywhere. She generally encouraged celebrations, sports competitions, and festivals in her own honor—as well as the honor of her beloved hosts—whenever she arrived on new planets which she used to garner information. On a more personal level, however, she often used nish'ta to control males that served around her, rendering them very suggestible to her orders and willing to trust her where they usually would not. She would only use this as an addition to her own abilities as a liar and fabricator, and would often tell audiences whatever they wanted to hear regardless of if she could deliver or not.
She is the God of Lust, Lies, Manipulation and Deception.

Heru'ur
"He is a very powerful System Lord. Much feared, even among Goa'uld. He is a conqueror. He eliminates all who dare tread in his shadow. Including other Goa'uld."
After his father's fall from power, Heru'ur (Herr) took control of most of his empire, and became one of the dominant System Lords. The Givosions first encountered him when he tried to conquer Cimmeria.
For a long time, Heru'ur was a rival of Apophis. When he learned Apophis and Amaunet had sired a child, Heru'ur attempted to take the child, but he was tricked into thinking Apophis had the child by the Talons, while tricking Apophis and Amaunet into thinking Heru'ur had stolen the child.
Eventually, Heru'ur sought out Apophis to make an alliance to control the Goa'uld Empire, but this was stopped with the return of Anubis.
His seal is still used by the Legion to this day, and he is the God of War.

Olokun
Olokun (Okun) was one of the System Lords who was present at the Goa'uld summit which was discussing forming a new order to fight against their mutual unknown enemy, who was later revealed to be Anubis. Olokun had lost one of his motherships to Anubis when the Jaffa aboard surrendered the vessel and switched sides. Yu believed that Olokun would attempt to kill him at this meeting in spite as Yu's forces had recently defeated Olukun's. He was as surprised as the other Goa'uld when Osiris arrived and revealed herself to simply be a representative of Anubis and, despite Yu's opposing vote, agreed with the other System Lords to permit Anubis to rejoin the System Lords
He had sent a Jaffa by the name of Ahruk to capture the planet Oyoro for him, believing it to be a fertile planet with great resources. However, Ahruk had been met with resistance and had thus took his role on the planet much more seriously than Olokun had intended, claiming himself to be an "emperor" and wishing to unite the planet under his own rule as well as deciphering the workings of an ancient device which had once turned the planet from being fertile into its now barren form.
At some point, Olokun managed to acquire an ancient device which he was very protective of. The Ohnes managed not only to learn of this, but had in fact managed to see it. It was perhaps because of this that they started sabotaging Goa'uld crafts and technology; sabotage that was eventually discovered by anTalon team.

Ra
Nothing is known of Ra (Ra) before he appeared in 22,000 BC at Apep's side, an underlord along side Nut and Thoth, who was given ownership over a portion of Atok's territory and forces after his death at the hands of Apep. United under the ruler ship of Apep, Ra and his kind swept across the Milky Way galaxy like a plague, taking many worlds under their control and very nearly wiping out the Unas. It was during this time that Anubis grew in Apep's favor, eventually earning a place at his side and becoming his most trusted adviser. By 17,800 BC Apep's original sons and daughters, Ra among them, became jealous of Anubis for the favor he had with Apep.
It was perhaps only fitting that Anubis killed Apep, and that this very act caused the Goa'uld to do the one noble deed in their history; they banded their forces together in order to defeat Anubis. The battles raged for hundreds of years, very nearly decimating the Goa'uld themselves taking many Unas with them before Anubis was eventually defeated in 17,400 BC and banished by the Goa'uld collective. Ra instated himself as the new ruler of the Goa'uld Empire, reinstating the old order which had been put in place by Apep. It was at this time that Ra also banished Thoth for his creation of the unstable Sarcophagus, though Thoth's understudy Telchak remained.
To show his appreciation for her help in the fight against Anubis, Bastet was rewarded by Ra himself, who also introduced the former servants Osiris and Isis into the ranks of the underlords. To ensure that the Anubis incident could never happen again, Ra also dismantled the superweapon which had been Anubis's staplepoint in his attacks and divided the crystals which powered it amongst the remaining Goa'uld. It was then that the First Goa'uld Dynasty ended, making way for the second.
Ra soon began to fade in power, and was eventually defeated by Ba'al and was forced to retreat into deep space. He then returned, having found a new people to use as foot soldiers. He retook his position as System Lord.
He is the God of Power.

Sokar
When the Goa'uld first arrived, he became the basis for various underworld demons, including Satan. During that period, Sokar (Ska) held an Unas host, though he eventually moved to a human one. For a time, Sokar was ruler of the Goa'uld, until an alliance consisting of several other System Lords, including Ra, Apophis, and Cronus, banded together to defeat Sokar. He was believed destroyed, but somehow survived. He conquered the world of Delmak, making it his homeworld, and terraformed its moon into a hell-like world, naming it Netu. His underlord Bynarr ruled Ne'tu, traveling to Delmak by way of Rings to inform Sokar of the suffering of the damned.

Lord Yu
Unlike most Goa'uld, who are generally megalomaniacal and obsessed with total domination, Yu (Yu) can be fairly pragmatic and methodical. While certainly no friend of the Alterrans, Yu is mostly concerned with strengthening his hold on the territory he already controls, while other Goa'uld will often haphazardly waste resources trying to conquer the entire galaxy. Yu is also often fairly willing to negotiate with the Alterrans (as opposed to other System Lords which view all humans as just livestock) and achieve a diplomatic solution more or less co-existent with the Alterrans, twice assisting them in their campaigns against other System Lords when their own forces were insufficient to the task at hand. However, it is stated that this is due in no small part to the fact that the territories Yu controls are on the opposite side of the Galaxy, and thus most of the other System Lords are located between Yu and the Alterran: allowing them to survive helps destabilize Yu's Goa'uld enemies located between the two.
